Karratha Detectives have charged a man as a result of their investigation and with the assistance of members of the public, into an assault that occurred in Karratha on Friday 25 March 2022.
It will be alleged about 11.50pm on 25 March 2022, the man was at a licensed premise located on Sharpe Avenue in Karratha when he assaulted a 24-year-old man who was not known to him. It will be further alleged the offender punched the victim to the face, causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.
The victim received serious facial injuries and has undergone multiple surgeries to repair fractures and damage to his teeth.
On 7 July 2022, Karratha Detectives arrested the man in Newman. The 22-year-old man from Baldivis and who is a Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang prospect, was charged with:-
• Grievous Bodily Harm
He is due to appear before the Karratha Magistrates Court on 2 August 2022.
