Arson Squad detectives have charged a man as a result of their investigation into a house fire in Carlisle on Wednesday, 25 October 2023.
It will be alleged about 4.30pm, the man set fire to furniture items on the veranda of the Solar Way home unit. The fire spread across the veranda/porch area, damaging the front of the unit before being extinguished by Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
Damage to the home unit is estimated at about $30,000.
The 70-year-old man from Carlisle has been charged with Criminal Damage by Fire and is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, 30 October 2023.
