Melbourne East police have arrested and charged a man following two assaults in Melbourne CBD massage businesses last week.
It is alleged two women were assaulted by the same man, at two separate businesses, both in the vicinity of Bourke Street on Thursday 9 July.
On both occasions the man allegedly entered a business and assaulted an employee.
Officers were made aware of the incidents on Tuesday, courtesy of videos circulating on social media.
The alleged assaults had not previously been reported nor had there been any related calls to Triple Zero (000).
Police immediately commenced an investigation to identify the locations of both incidents and victims.
Investigators arrested a 32-year-old Melbourne man on Collins Street yesterday afternoon.
He has been charged with various assault offences.
The man is remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
