Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman in Coleraine this morning.
Officers were called to a home in Pilleau Street following reports a woman had been stabbed about 1.10am.
The 81-year-old Coleraine woman died at the scene.
An 81-year-old Coleraine man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with murder.
He was remanded to appear before Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 4 August.
