Police charge man after construction site stabbing in Mascot

A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing on a construction site in Mascot today.

Emergency services were called to the location on Coward Street just after 11am (Monday 18 November 2019), after reports a man had been injured.

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended, where they found a 27-year-old man suffering stab wounds to his body and leg.

He was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man was refused bail to appear before Central Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 19 November 2019).
