Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman in Upper Ferntree Gully yesterday morning.
Officers were called to a home in Seaby Avenue following reports of a deceased woman about 7.50am.
Upon entering the premises, officers located the 38-year-old Upper Ferntree Gully woman deceased.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
The Upper Ferntree Gully man was interviewed by detectives and has since been charged with murder.
He appeared before Melbourne magistrate’s Court this evening and has been remanded to appear again in December.
