Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman in Melton South yesterday afternoon.
The 42-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder.
The charges follow an incident at a Sutherland Avenue property where it is alleged a woman’s body was found with stab wounds, on Monday 18 September, about 1.30pm.
The Melton South man has been remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday 19 September.
Detectives believe the parties are known to one other and are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
