Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have today charged a man in relation to a hit run collision in Echuca on 10 March.
The 23-year-old man was arrested in Echuca this morning regarding the collision which occurred on a walking track between McKenzie Street and Campaspe Esplanade that left a 39-year-old man with life threatening injuries.
The victim remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The Echuca man has been charged with negligently causing serious injury, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and render assistance and dangerous driving causing serious injury.
He will face an out of sessions hearing tonight.
