Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a crash in Grovedale.
Police have been told a Holden Commodore wagon crashed into a pole on Torquay Road about 3.15pm.
A male passenger in the car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 29-year-old man from Charlemont, has been charged with dangerous driving cause serious injury and has been bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 9 September.
