Mernda Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have charged a man following an incident at a Mill Park shopping centre last week.
The Lalor man has been charged with sexual activity in the presence of a child under the age of 16, and sexual exposure in public.
The charges follow an incident at a store where the man allegedly exposed himself on Saturday 21 May about 2.45pm.
The 59-year-old presented at a northern suburbs police station yesterday afternoon.
He was charged and bailed to appear before Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on 29 September.
