Police Charge Man After Incident – Bass Hill

A man has been charged following an incident at Bass Hill yesterday (Wednesday 29 May 2024).

About 9am yesterday, officers from Bankstown Police Area Command responded to reports of a road rage assault at the intersection of the Hume Highway and Hector Street, Bass Hill.

When officers arrived at the location all parties had left the scene.

Police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, about 8:30pm, officers attended a home on Kalang Road, Bossley Park, and arrested a 38-year-old man.

He was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with affray.

He will appear before Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 20 June 2024.

Police also attended a Campsie home and spoke with a 30-year-old man.

Inquiries into the matter continue.
