Police charge man after incident in Quinns Rock

Joondalup Detectives have charged a 37-year-old man after an incident that occurred in Quinns Rock last night, Thursday 8 October 2020, which resulted in two men being injured and rushed to hospital.

It is alleged about 8.30pm, the 37-year-old man was walking along St Barnabas Boulevard when he started to verbally abuse two men not known to him who were outside the front of a home. It is further alleged the man pulled a knife and threatened the men before he cut both men with the knife.

A 21-year-old man received serious lacerations to his abdomen and a 21-year-old man received a laceration to his neck and chest. Both victims were conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

Joondalup Detectives arrested the 37-year-old man at his home in Quinns Rock and he was charged with:-

• Grievous Bodily Harm; and

• Unlawful Wounding.

He is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court today, 9 October 2020.
