A man has been arrested in New South Wales in regard to an assault in King Street last month.
It is alleged a 27-year-old man was approached by a group of unknown males on King Street and hit to the head with a weapon about 4.30am on 24 March.
The Seabrook man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and is currently in a serious but stable condition.
The 23-year-old New South Wales man was arrested in Rose Bay today.
He has been charged with attempted murder and will be extradited back to Victoria tomorrow.
The investigation remains ongoing.
