Police charge man after Manangatang death

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a man in Manangatang last week.

A 41-year-old West Albury man was arrested in Albury this morning with assistance from NSW Police.

He has been charged with murder, aggravated burglary and intentionally cause injury.

The man will face Albury Magistrates’ Court tomorrow for an extradition hearing.

A 36-year-old West Albury woman was also arrested today, however she has been released pending further enquiries.

Today’s arrests follow an incident in Manangatang on 30 March where emergency services were called to a Wattle Street property about 9.15pm following reports of a stabbing.

The 58-year-old Manangatang man died at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
