Police charge man after more than 2kg and almost $400,000 cash seized in Hillsdale

A man will face court tomorrow after more than two kilograms of cocaine and almost $400,00 cash was allegedly found at a Hillsdale home.

Officers from Botany Bay Police Area Command established Strike Force Penrhyn in August 2018 to investigate the supply of prohibited drug in the area.

Following inquiries, investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Rhodes Street, Hillsdale, on Friday 15 February 2019.

During a search of the home, officers allegedly located and seized more than two kilograms of cocaine, MDMA, and almost $400,000 cash.

Today (Monday 11 March 2019), investigators arrested a 26-year-old man when he attended Surry Hills Police Station

He was charged with supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity, three counts of supply prohibited drug – indictable quantity, supply prohibited drug – small quantity, and deal with property proceeds of crime.

The man was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 12 March 2019).
