Police charge man after Perth fatal crash

On Tuesday 3 November 2020, Major Crash Investigators charged a 54-year-old Perth Transit Authority bus driver after a fatal crash that occurred in Perth on Tuesday, 6 October 2020.

It is alleged about 4:10pm the man was driving a bus that was travelling north on Beaufort Street and entered the intersection of Newcastle Street, colliding with a cyclist.

The cyclist, a 54-year-old man from North Perth died at the scene.

The bus driver, a 54-year-old man from Averley has been charged Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death and is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 4 December 2020.
