Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of another man in Portland early this morning.
A 25-year-old Portland man was arrested around midday today.
The arrest follows the death of a local man, believed aged in his 20s, who presented at a Portland hospital with injuries shortly before 12.30am.
The man was interviewed by homicide squad detectives and has since been charged with one count of murder.
He will appear at Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
