Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an alleged stabbing in Prahran last night.
A man was allegedly stabbed following an altercation on Commercial Road about 10pm.
He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and is now in a stable condition.
A 25-year-old Parkville man was arrested nearby and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He was interviewed by detectives and has been charged with:
- intentionally cause serious injury
- recklessly cause serious injury
- intentionally cause injury
- recklessly cause injury
- assault with weapon (knife)
- use knife in the commission of indicatable offence
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later today.
The two men are believed to be known to each other.
