Police Charge Man After Property Offences at Wynnum, QLD

Detectives from Bayside Property Team have charged a man following an extensive investigation into property offences committed across Wynnum, Holland Park West and Manly.

Police will allege the man was responsible for multiple crimes committed between 26 and 29 March, involving break and enters, vehicle thefts and stealing offences.

It is alleged that overnight on 26 March a man entered a property in Holland Park West and stole the car keys of a Volvo XC90 and the vehicle.

In the early hours of 29 March it will be alleged the man then used the stolen vehicle to enter multiple shops in Wynnum and stole a sum of money.

He allegedly also attempted to enter multiple other shops in Wynnum and damaged a glass door but failed to gain entry.

On 29 March it is further alleged the man stole a Mercedes Benz GLC200 from a property in Manly.

Both vehicles were located on 31 March.

An 18-year-old Ellen Grove man has been charged with three counts each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and attempting to enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, and two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles.

He is due to appear at Wynnum Magistrates Court on 20 July.
