Police charge man after Ravenhall shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following a non-fatal shooting in Ravenhall this morning.

The 89-year-old Ravenhall man has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury, recklessly cause serious injury, conduct endangering death and numerous other charges.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this evening.

The charges come after a 58-year-old Kurunjang man was shot in the upper body outside a property in Rebecca Drive just before 8.30am.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threating injuries.

It is believed the parties were known to each other.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
