Police Charge Man After Serious Assault In Narre Warren

Police have charged a man following an alleged serious assault in Narre Warren on Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of a man being assaulted at Strathaird Reserve about 3.15pm.

The alleged offenders fled the scene prior to police arrival.

A 63-year-old Clyde North man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains.

Following a thorough investigation, officers arrested a 22-year-old Narre Warren South man at a Frankston address early yesterday.

The man has been charged with recklessly cause serious injury.

He is remanded to appear before Dandenong Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Investigators believe another man was involved in the incident and the people involved are known to each other.
