Police Charge Man After Shooting On Central Coast

A man has been charged after several shots were allegedly fired at a man outside a home on the state’s Central Coast yesterday.

Just after 9.15am (Sunday 1 March 2026), emergency services were called to a home on Thomas Mitchell Road, at Killarney Vale, following reports of shots fired.

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District were told a 27-year-old man fired a number of shots at a 30-year-old man outside the home, before the younger man left in a vehicle.

Seven others – a woman aged in her 30s and six children – who were nearby at the time were not injured.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.

Following inquiries, police attended a unit block on Coral Street, at The Entrance, where they arrested the 27-year-old man inside a unit.

A search warrant was executed for the unit and a second unit, during which police allegedly located and seized a firearm, ammunition, and other items.

The man was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with shoot at with intent to murder, possess loaded firearm endanger life not public, possess unregistered firearm-pistol, possess unauthorised firearm, and firearm etc found at premises-subject to prohibition order.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Court Division 6 later today (Monday 2 March 2026).
