Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following a fatal shooting in Whittington last night.
The 39-year-old Whittington man has been charged with one count of murder.
He will appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court this morning for a filing hearing.
The charge relates to an alleged shooting that occurred at a property in Boundary Road about 7.30pm on 5 October.
The victim, a 31-year-old Whittington man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Both parties were known to each other and police are not searching for anyone else in relation to the incident.
