Police have charged a man following a shooting in Wildwood on Wednesday night.
A 37-year-old Meadow Heights man was allegedly shot in the torso following a dispute with the occupants at a property on Wildwood Road about 7.20pm on 19 August.
A 56-year-old Wildwood man was arrested on 20 August and has since been charged with one count of intentionally cause serious injury.
The man will appear before court this evening.
The 37-year-old remains unaccounted for, and police have significant concerns for his welfare and believe it is likely he has succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who has information about the whereabouts of the man, or who saw a black Mitsubishi Triton ute travelling through the Greenvale, Sunbury, Bulla, Oaklands Junction and Wildwood areas on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning to contact police.
They would also like to speak to anyone from those areas who may have dash-cam footage or CCTV.
