A man has been charged after a woman was struck by a vehicle in Sydney’s west.
About 7:30pm yesterday (Sunday 3 November 2024), emergency services were called to Concord Road, Rhodes following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.
On arrival, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command found a woman, aged 37, with neck, pelvic and leg injuries.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
A man, aged 45, was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with drive with mid-range PCA, negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm) and alter concentration of alcohol before test.
He was granted condition bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Tuesday 5 November 2024.
