Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit have charged an Armstrong Creek man over a fatal collision which occurred in Beaumaris last night.
Police and emergency services were called to Beach Road about 5.25pm after reports a cyclist had been hit by a car.
The cyclist, a 60-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The 35-year-old Armstrong Creek man has been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, fail to stop and fail to render assistance.
He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
