Police charge man over Blair Athol assault, South Australia

A man has been charged following an incident at Blair Athol this month.

Just after 6pm on Wednesday 3 April, police attended a reserve in Blair Athol after reports a man had approached a child and assaulted her. The suspect had left the area prior to police arrival and an investigation into the incident was launched.

Yesterday evening (Wednesday 17 April) following an investigation Detectives from the Special Crime Investigation Branch attended a home in Blair Athol and arrested a 29-year-old man.

The man has been charged with two counts of rape, aggravated indecent assault, gross indecency and unlawful detention. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
