Police charge man over drug supply in Southern Tablelands

A man has been charged following an investigation into drug supply in the Southern Tablelands.

In November 2021, Strike Force Hartt was established by officers from The Hume Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Harden, Young and Jugiong areas.

To date, police have charged 10 people – aged between 19 and 53 – with drug offences. They remain before the courts.

Following extensive investigations, about 1.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 3 May 2022), a 35-year-old man was arrested during a vehicle stop in the Muttama area, west of Jugiong.

Officers located and seized methylamphetamine.

The man was taken to Young Police Station where he was charged with 13 counts of supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, possess prohibited drug and five counts of drive while disqualified.

He was refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Wednesday 4 May 2022).
