Police charge man over drugs at Logan Central, QLD

Police have charged a man after allegedly locating a significant quantity of dangerous drugs and cash inside a vehicle at Logan Central on Friday July 22.

Around 8.15pm, officers from the Logan District Drug and Firearm Team were patrolling Forrest Street, Woodridge, when they sighted a vehicle of interest.

Officers tracked the vehicle to Ewing Road, Logan Central, where it was intercepted at 8.45pm.

It will be alleged that inside the vehicle, officers located approximately $13,200 in cash, 88.5 grams of crystal methylamphetamine, a small glass bottle containing 50ml of Gamma Hydroxybutric Acid (GHB) and a glass pipe.

Further searches of the vehicle allegedly uncovered 15 bottles of GHB, approximately one litre each, concealed in the spare tyre compartment.

A 33-year-old Biggera Waters man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing relevant substances, possessing utensil, possessing property suspected of being proceeds of drug offence and unlicenced driving.

He is scheduled to reappear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 28.
