Police charge man over Vermont boat theft

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged a man in relation to the theft of two boats in Vermont on 5 October.

It is alleged a group of people attended a marine business on Canterbury Road and broke in stealing two boats about 5am.

Investigators discovered one of the boats and car parts at a residential premise in Kilmore on 15 November.

A 32-year-old Kilmore man was arrested and charged with five offences, including theft and handle stolen goods.

He has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on the 21 November 2019.

There is still one outstanding stolen boat.

The boat is described as a dark blue Malibu registered R0570, on a trailer registered W2111.
