Police charge man with Alberton gaming room robbery, South Australia

A 32-year-old man from Taperoo has been charged with the aggravated robbery of a gaming room at licenced premises at Alberton.

The man is expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today after police from the Serious Crime Task Force made the arrest and he was refused police bail.

The robbery, which occurred just after 12.30am on Friday 23 August, involved two men entering a gaming room armed with knives and stealing cash.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Police are still investigating and seeking a second offender.
