Police charge man with burglary and drug offences

A 36-year-old man is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court today, 29 April 2020 after he was arrested by Armadale Detectives yesterday afternoon as a result of their investigation into burglary, stealing and drug incidents.

It is alleged the man was involved in home burglaries in Roleystone on 25 February 2020, Mardella on 7 March 2020 and Parkerville on 4 April 2020, where he stole various items.

Yesterday (28 April 2020), police sighted the man driving a hire car on Hume Road in Thornlie and the vehicle was stopped. It is alleged during a search of the vehicle and a home in Thornlie, police located and seized:

• Over $9,000 in cash;

• A quantity of jewellery believed to be stolen;

• Approximately 1 gram of Methylamphetamine; and

• Various drug paraphernalia.

The 36-year-old man from Maddington was charged with:

? Two counts of Aggravated Home Burglary;

? Three counts of Stealing;

? One count of Home Burglary and Commit;

? One count of Steal Motor Vehicle;

? One count of Possess Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property;

? One count of No Authority to Drive;

? One count of Possess Prohibited Drug; and

? One count of Possess Drug Paraphernalia.
