Police charge man with domestic violence, sexual assault in Riverstone

A man will face court today after being charged with domestic violence and sexual assault in Sydney’s

north west last month.

About 10.20pm Friday (6 September 2019), officers attached to Riverstone Police Station arrested a 35-year-old man for alleged domestic abuse of his partner between February and August this year.

Further inquiries revealed the man allegedly sexually assaulted the 23-year-old woman on numerous occasions.

Police will also allege the man demanded money from the woman and her family.

The man was charged with demand money with menaces, two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and seven domestic violence offences including choking without consent.

He has been refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Friday 13 September 2019).
