Police charge man with Doncaster aggravated burglary

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after an alleged aggravated burglary in Doncaster last month.

Two females were at their Frederick Street address when a man allegedly climbed onto their balcony and entered a bedroom of the home about 2am Wednesday 15 April, 2020.

Police were told one of the women saw the alleged offender enter the premises and subsequently both residents fled the home.

Investigators arrested a 31-year-old Queensland man at a Rosebud camping ground on Thursday 7 May.

The man was subsequently charged with aggravated burglary, possess explosives and three counts of possess drug of dependence.

He appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday evening and was remanded to face court again at a later date.
