Police Charge Man With Drug And Firearms – Copacabana

A man has been charged after drugs, and a firearm were allegedly seized during a search warrant in the state’s north.

In May 2026, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District commenced Strike Force Miamoon to investigate an ongoing supply of prohibited drugs in the Brisbane Water area.

As part of an ongoing investigation, about 9.10am today (Thursday 27 August 2026), Proactive Crime Team officers attended a unit on Copacabana Drive, Copacabana, for the execution of a search warrant.

During the search, police allegedly located and seized 18g of methylamphetamine, 140g of cannabis, a replica pistol, prescription medications, electronic devices and nail guns believed to be stolen.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of possess prohibited drug, possess unregistered firearm-pistol and supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity.

The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court tomorrow (Friday 28 August 2026).
