Sex Assault Squad detectives charged a 30-year-old man on 23 June 2022 as a result of their investigation into an incident in Yokine in the early hours of the same day.
Further inquiries by Sex Assault Squad detectives resulted in them charging the man in relation to two other incidents that occurred earlier this year in Victoria Park.
About 12.30am on 22 February 2022, a woman in her 30s was sitting in her vehicle parked on McMaster Street in Victoria Park when it will be alleged the man entered the passenger side of the vehicle. The man allegedly made a comment of a sexual nature before trying to take the woman’s mobile phone. The woman struggled with the man, injuring her left arm and knuckles.
The second incident occurred on 2 June 2022, when the man allegedly entered a unit on Cargill Street in Victoria Park. No-one was home at the time and it will be alleged the man masturbated onto underwear belonging to the occupant of the residence.
Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged with man who is currently in prison with:-
• Robbery;
• Burglary and Commit;
• Criminal Damage or Destruction of Property; and
• Trespass.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 22 July 2022.
