Police charge man with mid-range drink driving after crash in Greenacre

A man has been charged with mid-range drink driving after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a parked truck in Greenacre this morning.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were called to the intersection of Roberts Road and Pelman Avenue, Greenacre, about 12.15am (Thursday 21 April 2022), following reports a Kia Sorento had crashed into an Isuzu D-Max.

Police spoke with the driver of the Kia – aged 35 – who was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The man was subjected to a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station for a breath analysis, which allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.105.

The driver of the Kia was issued an immediate licence suspension notice and issued a Court Attendance Notice for the offence of drive with mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

He is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 11 May 2022.
