A man will face court tomorrow charged with murder following a fatal stabbing at Redfern this morning.
Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were called to a home unit on Morehead Street shortly before 1am (Sunday 16 February), and found a 54-year-old man with a stab wound to his back.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to revive the man, but he died at the scene.
Strike Force Otama was formed to investigate the man’s death and, about 6am, detectives arrested a 48-year-old man at Waterloo.
He was taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged with murder.
He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow (Monday 17 February 2020).
