Police have charged an East Devonport man with murder in relation to the death of a Sprent man on Sunday night.
The 25-year-old man was arrested at a private residence on Stephen Street at East Devonport shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning.
A short time ago the man was charged with several offences including Murder, Aggravated Burglary and Unlawful setting fire to property.
He was detained to appear before the Devonport Court tomorrow morning.
The police investigation is ongoing.
