Police charge man with numerous offences

Fremantle Detectives have charged a man as a result of their investigation into a series of incidents that occurred between 23 July and 26 July 2020 across several suburbs.

About 4.10am on Sunday 26 July, it is alleged two men entered a home in East Fremantle where an altercation took place between the offenders and the occupants. It is alleged the offenders pepper sprayed a man in his 50s inside the home before using a pick axe to smash the front glass door, shattering the glass which caused multiple cuts to the victim.

Around 5.30am on the same day it is alleged the offenders went to another home in East Fremantle. As the occupant of the home went to a window to look outside, it is alleged the offenders threw a concrete candle holder through the window resulting in the victim being cut by glass. It is alleged the offenders were involved in an altercation with the driver of a Ford Falcon at the intersection of Riseley and Marmion Street in Booragoon. It is alleged the offenders reversed the stolen Tucson with enough force into the Ford Falcon that the rear wheel mount went onto the Falcon’s bonnet. The driver of the Falcon, a man in his 30s was not injured.

Between 8.30pm on Saturday 25 July and 8.30am on Sunday 26 July, the offenders entered a campervan that was parked in carpark at a unit complex in East Fremantle. It is alleged oil was poured inside the vehicle and was wiped over all surfaces in the interior and several items were stolen.
