Police Charge Pair After Belmont Home Invasion

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged two men following an alleged home invasion in Belmont on Friday 4 September.

It is alleged two armed offenders gained entry to a residential address on Oberon Drive about 9.10am.

The victim was not home at the time and was notified via a doorbell camera.

After calling Triple Zero (000), the woman returned to her address and was confronted by two of the offenders.

Two neighbours, who had noticed the offenders at the property, managed to restrain the two men until police arrived.

A 27-year-old Norlane man was charged with burglary, handle stolen goods, aggravated burglary, theft, home invasion and two counts of commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

A 26-year-old Altona North man was charged with one count of home invasion.

They will both appear at the Geelong Magistrates” Court today.
