Police charge teen after Glen Iris stabbing

Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two teenagers following their investigation into an alleged stabbing in Glen Iris last month.

It is alleged two male teenagers entered the back garden of a house on Adrian Street when they were disturbed by the two occupants just before 4am on 16 March.

A man and woman both aged in their 50s, confronted the pair when an altercation occurred and they were both stabbed to the upper body.

Both victims were hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Monday, detectives arrested and interviewed a 15-year-old from Box Hill.

He was charged with intentionally cause serious injury, reckless conduct endangering life, assault with a weapon, and other related offences.

The teen was remanded in custody to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 14-year-old from Kew East was arrested and interviewed on Friday 17 April.

He was released and is expected to be charged on summons with assault related offences.
