Police charge teen after Lara stabbing

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a teenage boy following an alleged stabbing in Lara this month, which left two people with serious injuries.

It is understood two groups of youths became involved in an altercation on Walkers Road about 7.40pm on 4 May.

A 21-year-old Geelong West man and 18-year-old Corio man sustained stab wounds during the incident and were both taken to hospital.

Police this morning executed three search warrants in the Werribee area, with three teenagers arrested.

A 17-year-old boy from Werribee has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury.

He will appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 16-year-old boy and another 17-year-old boy, both from Werribee, have been released pending further enquiries.
