Police Charge Teens After Keysborough Arrests

Police have charged four youths after they fled from police in an allegedly stolen car in Keysborough this afternoon.

Officers spotted the stolen Mazda2 near Studd Road in Dandenong about 12.10pm.

The occupants allegedly fled from police and were monitored by the Air Wing as they drove erratically and at high speeds through Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.

A female occupant exited the vehicle in Keysborough and was arrested shortly before 3pm.

Three male occupants dumped the car in Waterways and got into an ordered a ride-share vehicle.

Police were able to pull over the ride-share vehicle and take the trio into custody without incident on Hutton Road in Keysborough about 3pm.

The quartet were interviewed in relation to the theft of the vehicle from a Glen Iris gym about 8.30pm yesterday and the dangerous driving today.

A 17-year-old boy from the Greater Dandenong area has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and possess cannabis.

A 16-year-old boy from the Frankston area has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and possess prohibited weapon.

A 15-year-old girl from the Glen Eira area has been charged with theft of motor vehicle.

A 17-year-old boy from the Greater Dandenong area has been charged with theft of motor vehicle.

All four have been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
