Police charge three after stolen car sighted in Carrum Downs

Police have charged three males after a stolen car was sighted it Carrum Down on Thursday, 21 April.

Patrolling police attempted to intercept the Mercedes Coupe on Lyrebird Drive about 12.50pm.

The Air Wing followed the vehicle before it stopped on Tyntynder Drive and two male occupants were seen entering a residence on Allied Drive.

Police attended the property and located two males hiding in the roof cavity.

A 15-year-old Bairnsdale boy has been charged with thefts, aggravated burglary, dangerous driving whilst pursued by police, driving in a manner dangerous, reckless conduct endangering life, possess a drug of dependence, possessing a controlled weapon and bail offences.

He has been remanded to appear at a childrens court at a later date.

An 18-year-old Bairnsdale man has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft, discharge a missile to cause in jury, criminal damage by fire and reckless conduct endangering life.

He has been bailed to appear at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 9 September.

A 16-year-old Carrum Downs boy was released pending further enquiries.
