Police charge three people with murder after investigations into fatal stabbing in Cartwright

Two men and a woman have been charged following investigations into the death of a man in Cartwright last month.

About 9.30pm on Wednesday 25 September 2019, emergency services were called to a laneway behind Willian Drive, Cartwright after reports a man had been stabbed.

He was treated at the scene but was unable to be revived.

An investigation commenced by detectives from Liverpool Police Area Command with the assistance of the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and South West Met Investigators resulting in the arrest of three people.

About 12.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 October 2019), police attended a home on Yampi Place, Cartwright where they arrested a 30-year-old man. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with murder.

Later that day, about 5pm, a 29-year-old woman was arrested in Lurnea. She was taken to Fairfield Police Station where she was also charged with murder.

About 5.30pm a 37-year-old man was arrested at a home in Lurnea. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with murder.

All three were refused bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 17 October 2019).
