Police charge two after Campbellfield attempted armed robbery

Detectives from Fawkner Embona Taskforce have charged two men following an attempted armed robbery at a service station in Campbellfield earlier this year.

Investigators allege two men attended a business on Somerton Park Drive about 10pm on 8 September.

A 19-year-old Meadow Heights man was charged with 9 offences including attempted armed robbery, possess firearm, criminal damage, assault emergency service worker and unlawful assault.

He was brought directly before the courts and then bailed to attend the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 16 February 2021.

An 18-year-old Meadow Heights man was charged with 4 charges including attempted armed robbery and unlawful assault.

He was bailed to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 10 August 2021.
