Police charge two after stabbing in Warilla

Two men have been charged with assault following a stabbing in Warilla earlier this week.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District were called to a hotel on Shellharbour Road about 12.20am Sunday (25 August 2019), and found two men – aged 21 and 30 – with stab wounds to their legs.

The men were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Wollongong Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Detectives commenced an investigation, following the arrest and subsequent release of a 41-year-old man in connection with the incident.

Earlier today (Friday 30 August 2019) Detectives charged two men – aged 21 and 30 – in connection with the incident.

Both were charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and were granted conditional bail, to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 22 October 2019.
