Police charge two men over northern Tasmania supermarket burglaries

Tasmania Police has charged two men in relation to supermarket burglaries in Launceston and Longford in the early hours of Monday and Tuesday mornings.

A 28 year old Ravenswood man was charged with motor vehicle stealing and receiving stolen property. He was bailed and will appear in court on 15 January 2020.

A 35 year old man, also from Ravenswood, was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of stealing, one count of attempted burglary and one count of motor vehicle stealing.

He was in custody overnight and will appear in court in Launceston at 2.15pm today.
