Police charge two men over stabbing in Kingswood

Two men have been charged after an investigation into a stabbing at Kingswood yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the Kingswood Train Station carpark about 12.15am (Monday 27 January 2020), and found a 19-year-old man suffering a wound to his neck and back, and an 18-year-old man with wounds to his ribs and stomach.

The men were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition. The older man has since been released.

A short time later, three men were arrested when their vehicle was stopped on Rymill Road at Tregear.

Two men – aged 19 and 20 – were taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and the third man, aged 19, was taken to Nepean Hospital to be treated for superficial injuries.

A motor vehicle has been seized and will be sent for forensic examination.

A 20-year-old Kingswood man has been charged with reckless wounding in company, and supply prohibited drug. He appeared in Parramatta Bail Court yesterday (Monday 27 January 2020), and was bail refused to appear in Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 29 January 2020.

Upon release from hospital, the 19-year-old Kingswood man was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with reckless wounding in company. He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court today (Tuesday 28 January 2020).

A 19-year-old Cranebrook man was released pending further inquiries.
